19th Dynasty
Here written in heiroglyphs is the cartouche and seal impression of one of the most famous Pharoah of Egyptian history, Rameses II.
Bullas made of clay such as this were affixed to grain storehouses to be sure the contents of the storehouses had not been tampered with. In times of need such as the day of Joseph when famine was in the land, Joseph began to unseal the grainers so as to sell grain to the starving Egyptians and others who came to Egypt searching for foods.
