The reproduction seen here is of what is believed to be the earliest surviving portion of the Christian scriptures.
The age which is determined by the shape of the letters, date this fragment almost within the life time of the apostle John himself. It help to prove the antiquity of the Christian scriptures and that they were written in the time period and by the individuals credited with their writing as opposed to critics who have questioned the scripture authenticity.
