Found somewhere in Israel in recent times their small ivory carving is believed to be the only artifact that dates to the time of Solomon's Temple.
The ancient inscription reads:
''Belonging to the Temple of Jehovah
Holy to the Priests''
The original was attached to a rod at the bottom and apparently carried by a priest of Jehovah on certain occassions. The purpose is not sure since the Bible does not mention this item. However, the ancient hebrew script employed helps date it to that early period and is one of the few suck inscriptions ever found.
