Clay vessel for the storage of miscellaneous liquids.
This spindle shaped vessel is one of the many types of storage bottles used in ancient times. Alabastrons served a similar purpose, namely to store oil, medicine or other liquids that were relatively rare with only small quantities affordable to the average people of those times.
